Cooper Kids to CAMP HIS WAY!!!

 

We will be leaving Cooper Baptist Church on Friday, July 4, at 3:00p.m. Please have someone to pick you up at 3:00p.m. on Sunday, July 6, at Cooper. If you would like to email your child you may by going www.camphisway.com. Then click on email your camper.

 

What to bring:

· Sleeping bag/sheets/pillow/blanket

· Towels & wash cloths

· Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush

· Swimming suit-girls –one piece

· Water shoes or old shoes NOT flip-flops

· Clothes-shorts, shirts, tennis shoes, hat

· Most important-Bible and offering

· Money for t-shirts-$12.00 and other small items

Please do not bring radios, MP3 and CD players, fireworks, cell phones, video games, or t.v. Also there is no need for snacks!

Seven Super Duper Silly Sundays

· Sunday, July 27th~Silly Sock Day

On silly sock day, wear some silly socks to Sunday School

· Sunday August 3rd~Luau Day

This is Vacation Bible School Family Day,

 so come dressed in a luau outfit.

· Sunday, August 10th~Pajama Day

Come to Sunday School dressed in your P.J.’s (must be appropriate)

· Sunday, August 17th~ Bible Character Day

On Bible Character day, dress like a biblical character.

· Sunday, August 24th~ Sports Day

Dress on this Sunday in any sport outfit of your choice

· Sunday, August 31~ Camouflage Day

Come to Sunday School in camouflage shirts or pants.

· Sunday, September 7th~ Promotion Sunday~ Dress Up

On dress up day come to Sunday School

with your best dress up clothes.

Children will promote to new classrooms in Sunday School Sunday, Sept. 7th at 4:00 p.m everyone will meet in the fellowship hall to build their own Sundaes. Children will also receive awards for participating in the Seven Super Duper Silly Sundays. Points that are awarded: Attend Silly Sunday’s, Bring a friend to Sunday School and/or dress according to above guidelines.

             Our monthly fellowship will be Tuesday, July 15 at 12:00 noon. Brother Bradshaw, Director of Missions for Vernon Baptist Association will be our guest speaker.

             Looking forward to August 12, we will have lunch at Arby’s and tour the Museum of West Louisiana at 1:30pm.

Student Ministry News…..

Dear Church Family,

                 Please be praying for our students as we prepare for Centrifuge camp in Florida. We will be leaving on Sunday, July 20th after the morning worship service and will return late on July 25th. If you would like to help out financially, here are two ways you can help. First, we have Cooper Baptist Church caps that we are asking donations for $15 each and you can order yours. You can get more details by calling the church office or meeting me in the church foyer after each Sunday services. Second, we are having a fundraiser lunch after morning worship on July 13th, which will include salad, spaghetti, French bread, vegetable, dessert. Cost is always by donation. (Carry outs available)

                 One thing that has always been a highlight for our students going to camp is the letters of love and encouragement that is received at camp. God will be moving and working in these students hearts and a letter or a postcard may be just what they need. Listed below are the students and chaperones going. My prayer is that all will receive some mail. Mail should go out by July 16th in order to arrive at camp on time.
