Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciiples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are invovled in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church van, to preparing the church bulletins. |
Here at Cooper Baptist we are thrilled to be a part of spreading God's word around the world. During Christmas we promote and support the Lottie Moon Mission which is an international missions offering. Also in the months leading up to Chirstmas, we collect items to be placed in shoe boxes for Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child. Our State Mission is our Georgia Barnette offering. Each year we also support the North American missions with our Annie Armstrong offering each year. Here in our own community we support and donate to our Helping Hands Storefront ministry. This ministry has a Worship Center, Food Pantry, Clothes Center and a Tutor/Training Center. |
These areas of need play an important role in the continued growth of our church. We have volunteers from our congregation that are placed in teams and put on a rotation list. |
Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vovalists. Others are involved in the choir. Our youth groups practice and perform dramas throught out the year. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. |
These teams fill an important role in our church. They are invovled in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, passing out bulletins, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generallly ensuring that the service can proceed problem free. |
In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active facebook for additional church communication. |
Prayer cannot be overstimated. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God's sovereignty. On Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. we have prayer meetings where special, ongoing and weekly requests are prayed for. We also have a text message prayer chain for immediate prayer. |
