How can I unite with Cooper Baptist Church
By coming forward during the Hymn of Invitation.
Upon Profession of Faith in Christ as Savior and Lord, and then following in a Believer's Baptism (immersion).
Upon transfer of Membership from another Southern Baptist Church.
Upon Statement that one has been immersed, after trusting Christ, in an Evangelical Church of like faith and doctrine.
Scriptural Reasons for Local Church Membership
Not only does the Bible command it (Hebrews 10:25), but 23 of the 27 books in the New Testament are either about or to the local churches and/or their leaders. (After Pentecost, you cannot find a single Christian who is not a member of a Local Church. Christ Gave His Life For The Church; Shouldn't We Live For Him And His Church? (Ephesians 5:25, Matthew 16:18)

FOR THE SAKE OF THE GOSPEL.
Gospel means Good News. God's good news for
you in this day and time is:
God loves you and has a plan for your life
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Man has a problem called sin.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" Romans 6:23
Jesus paid the debt with His death
"But God commendth His love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
We must personally receive Jesus.
"That is thy shall confess with thy mouth Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart the man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10
We must pray a prayer of faith. Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins. I am willing to turn from my sins and receive You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name. Amen
