Where were you born and raised?
I was born 1966 in Fayetteville N.C. because my Dad was stationed there in the Air Force. I was raised in the Belah/Nebo area of Louisiana.
How long have you been a Pastor?
I have served over 20 years as a pastor and the Lord Jesus hasn't failed me yet.
How long have you been at Cooper?
I have been pastor of Cooper Baptist Church since June 2003.
Tell us a little about your family.
I have been married to Alycia for over 28 years. We went to High School together. Our family consist of our son Lewis his wife Abby and two grandchildren Mason and Olivia Evans. Two daughters Dianna 22 and Rebecca 14.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to work outside and deer hunt.
Educational background?
I graduated Crowville HS 1985. Earned a Bachelor degree from East Texas Baptist University 1998. Earned a Masters degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary 2009.
Any other occupations than being a Pastor?
It was an honor to serve our Country honorably in the United Sates Air Force for 9 years active duty.
Any life changing moments?
I have had a few but the most life changing and it continues to change my life today was the moment I asked Jesus to forgive me of sin, save me, and be Lord of all in my life.
Favorite book?
My favorite Book is the Bible.
Favorite food?
My favorite food is fried back strap in brown gravy over biscuits.
What do you love about Cooper Baptist Church?
I love the faithful members. I love meeting new people through the military that we are blessed to have in our community and church family.
Most interesting place you visited?
We were stationed at Eielson AFB Alaska for 3 years. I have also been in Israel as a tourist.
What are your hopes for CBC?
My hope is that we will be an Acts 9:31 church.




Roland Smith-

Where were you born and raised?
In Houma, Louisiana.
How long have you been a minister here at Cooper?
I have been a minister here since 2010.
You work outside the Church as well. What do you do?
I am the band director at Pickering High School and have been there since 2006.
Tell us a little about your family.
I met my beautiful wife, Devon, in 2003 on the first day of band camp at Northwestern State University. We both play trumpet! We have been married since May 12, 2007, and we have a on son, Brayden, who was born on June 8, 2010.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy playing music when I can, and I am currently involved with a community jazz band. Otherwise, I just enjoy being with my family.
What is your educational background?
I graduated as the salutatorian from Ellender Memorial High School in 2001. I also graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumental and Vocal Music.
Do you have any life changing moments?
5-12-07 Wedding Day! 6-8-10 when Brayden was born! The moment I chose Jesus as my Lord and Savior!

Any favorite foods?
I am from South Louisiana, so I love to cook and eat cajun food!

What do you love about Cooper Baptist Church?
Cooper Baptist Church is made up of many different personalities, young and old. There are members that have attended Church here their whole life and some that are military families that will only be here a short time. But the greatest part about being a member here is that we are always praying for one another. The people here truly care for one another.

What is the most interesting place you visited?
The most interesting place I have ever visited was Costa Rica on my honeymoon. I was able to look down into an active volcano!

What are your hopes for CBC?
My hope and prayer for Cooper Baptist Church is that we are always able to present the gospel to those who need it.

Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Lake Charles, LA on November 16, 1953. I was raised in Lake Charles, New Mexico, Utah and Rosepine, LA.
Can you tell me about your educational background and some experience you have with teaching children? I graduated from Resepine High School in 1972 and attended McNeese University in Lake Charles. When I was a senior in college, I was chosen to be a summer Missionary through the Cooperative Program to serve in the state of Iowa. I was in Iowa for 10 weeks where I served in Backyard Bible Clubs, Vacation Bible School, Youth minister, and music director. I also worked with children from Lao helping them to speak English. After graaduation in 1976, I began teaching Kindergarten at Pickering Elementary School. I also received my Masters Degree from Northwestern State University in 1985.
Tell me a little about your family.
In 1979 I married Phillip Fletcher and moved to Pickering. We have been married 36 years this July. I have three children-Ryan, Lori and Allison. Ryan is married to Colleen and they have two boys- Ben 3 and Owen 8 months old. Lori is married to Jesse and they have two boys_ Kade 10 years old and Kam 3 months old. Allison works in Shreveport. Ryan graduated from DeVry University and Lori and Allison graduated from ULM.

How long have you been in the community?
I have lived in Pickering for 36 years.

How long have you been the Children's Minister here at Cooper?
I have been Children's Minister for 6 years here at Cooper Baptist Church.

What other occupations have you held in our community?
I taught Kindergarten and 2nd grade for 19 years. I was the Administrator Assistant for Pickering for 11 years and the LA 4 coordinator for Vernon Parish for 3 years. I retired from the Vernon Parish School System with 33 years. I now work at Faith Training Christian Academy where I have been a first grade teacher for 4 years.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy scrapbooking with friends.

Do you have a favorite movie?Favorite book?
My favorite movie is One Magic Christmas and my favorite book is Jesus Calling.

Where is your favorite place to eat?
My favorite restaurant is the Mustard Seed and I enjoy eating their chicken fried chicken with white gravy.
What do you love mmost about Cooper Baptist Church?
What I enjoy about Cooper Baptist are the children and the fellowship with others.
Have you had any life changing moments you would like to share?
The life changing moment in our life was when my youngest child was born 10 weeks early. Allison weighed 3lbs. and 3 oz. To help me through the weeks before I could bring her home, I prayed alot and I wrote a journal to maybe help someone else one day that may experience the same type of child birth. Cooper Baptist friends joined in and helped me through the experience.
What is some of the interesting places you have visited?
One of the interesting places I have visted was with my husband at Yellowstone National Park. Another place I visited was New York City where I enjoyed the visit with friends from Cooper.
What are you hopes for Cooper Baptist Church?
My hopes for Cooper Baptist Church is to see growth in all departments.



Susan Redmond-

So where were you born and raised?
Queens, New York. I lived there and in New Jersey until I moved to Lousisana in 1964.
How long have been Cooper's Financial Secretary?
Since June 1987.
Any other occupations?
I worked for the Federal Government as an Accounting Technician for 12 years then decided to stay home and take care of my boys. I have been a self-employed book keeper for 33 years.

Tell me a little about your family.
I Have been Married to Ronnie Mack for almost 43 years. We are empty nesters. We had so much fun with our three boys. There was never a dull moment! We always had a house full and enjoyed each and every young man we met.
Any hobbies?
Reading, Shopping and traveling.
What is some of your educational background?
I graduated from Pickering High School and went to Northwestern.
Have you had any life changing moments you would like to share?
The births of my children and grandchildren. I have three little grandsons here and one grandaughter in heaven.

Do you have any favorite books?
All books by Christian authors, Grisham & Koontz.

Any favorite foods?
Anything Italian.

What do you love about Cooper Baptist Church?
The people. They are my family.

What is the most interesting place you visited?
Costa Rica

What are your hopes for CBC?
Growth in numbers and a spirritual explosion in our community.
